Islamic Life Purpose Course Proposal at Muhammadi Masjid
Muhammadi Masjid is eager to offer a course that can bring immense benefit to the community. By sharing knowledge and guiding individuals through a transformative journey, we believe we can inspire positive change and help people excel in various aspects of their lives.
We would be honored to discuss the possibility of delivering this course and exploring how we can continue to work together for the betterment of the community. Your support and partnership mean a great deal to us, and we are excited about the potential impact we can create together.
Course Proposal:
As we navigate through the various challenges and opportunities in today’s world, it is essential that we empower our youth (and adults) to develop a strong sense of purpose and direction in their lives.
The Life Purpose Course aims to provide the necessary Islamic beliefs, knowledge, actions, life planning tools, and guidance to explore their individual talents, passions, and values to create goals and duas that are inspiring.
As Allah reminds us in the Quran: So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, “Here, read my record!”That in short, is the purpose of the course to guide individuals to lives and goals they can be proud of in the Hereafter and not of misery and regret.
Prevention by life purpose coaching, to me, is far better than trying to heal someone after it is too late with mental health counseling, rehab, and psychiatric aid.
Here is an overview of the proposed Life Purpose Course:
- Course Objectives.
- Understand the Islamic concept of life purpose and its significance.
- Reflect on personal strengths, talents, and values within an Islamic framework.
- Seek divine guidance and incorporate it into decision-making for life purposes.
- Align personal goals with the Divine will and seek Allah’s pleasure.
- Cultivate a balanced lifestyle while fulfilling one’s life purpose and foster continuous growth.
How our Masjid Benefits:
We truly believe it will be a win-win in sha Allah for the community, the center and our organization teaching faculty services:
The community will benefit from taking the time to refocus their intentions towards living purposeful lives, that is pleasing to Allah SWT and in turn become community members who aspire to make a positive impact in the world and will remember our team and center for enabling them!
The center can also make all the anticipated profit of or more after the services anticipated charges are paid.
Required: Mutual partnership with the other departments/halaqas/groups and marketing teams to take mutual ownership and responsibility of the outcome (marketing strategy detailed below). With an anticipated goal of 250+ attendees at $50 each, we can utilize our contacts for making special guest appearances, and marketing the event. In turn this will in sha Allah be a very HIGH value event which the community will remember and refer to years from now as a catalyst towards a Brighter ummah and brighter world. Marketing guidelines need to be implemented by our team to reach the goal Or- May want to consider subsidizing the ticket price if our budget already allows for this type of programming or collecting donations to sponsor scholarships, food, etc.
The Masjid can offer an honorarium and charge for the course as they see fit. Course Structure: Proposed Date & Time: Saturday or Sunday in July or August 10 AM – 4 PM.
Title: Rise to Greatness: Living an Amazing Islamic Life
Frequency: One-Time but can agree to do the second part of this course in November and repeat both annually.
Format: The course will consist of a combination of interactive workshops, guest speaker sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises, lunch and breaks.
Age Group: The course will cater to youth and adults aged 16 to 50 years old. (Exceptions can be made for exceptional individuals)
Course Content:
- Understanding Islamic principles and *their application to personal growth.
- Exploring personal strengths, talents, interests etc.
- Identifying core values and aligning them with Islamic teachings.
- Goal setting and action planning.
- Overcoming challenges and building resilience.
- Seeking mentorship and guidance from experienced individuals in different fields in their life.
Course Facilitators:
We intend to include in our team, Imams, and reputable figures within the Muslim community who can provide special guest appearances and insights to contribute to the course objectives.
We firmly believe that this Life Purpose Course will serve as a valuable resource for our youth, and adults; equipping them with the necessary mind-set, skills and knowledge to lead purposeful lives guided by Islamic principles. It will empower them to make informed decisions, pursue their passions, and contribute positively to their communities.
What is Required from our Masjid?
To ensure the successful implementation of this course, We kindly request all our management personnel and teaching team to support in considering and confirming our proposal and partnering with us to bring this vision to life.
Call center will be established so anyone interested can book a call with our team and Masjid on the created link to discuss our mutual agreement, answer any questions or clarify any concerns:
- We or our team can create the event flier, ticket page, Facebook event page. (Flier: Use canva and make info@muhammadimasjid.org a co-editor, access to view pre-registration details, Facebook co-host info@muhammadimasjid.org.
- All masjid members compete with each other to sell digital tickets.
- Included event in all outgoing emails.
- 5 specific emails just for the course.
- 3 text message blasts.
- 3 WhatsApp blasts to internal group chats and external to broader community chats.
- 5 Jumma at your and neighbouring centers and other community events. (Assistance from Imams and khateeb to center khutbas around this topic and to encourage taking this valuable course).
- Encouraged Partnership with other local Masajids and Islamic Center whom we can include their participation if suitable. printing flyers and posting at the centers 6 weeks prior to the course.
- All halaqas must set out time 5 minutes to announce the course and 5 minutes to sell tickets, at every sitting.
- Clean, safe environment to host the course with good A/V, projector, and video/photography. Hopefully this one can go very smoothly and leave a LASTING impact , so it can be a refreshing annual event and course.
